The  story (short version) ~
Our soap is formulated by Sandra Strom, CEO of Song of Health & Food Intolerance Consultant, to offer you all natural, handmade vegan soaps that contain no fruit ingredients, unlike nearly all other soaps available. The most common base oils used in other natural-type soaps are coconut, olive, and palm – all fruit derivatives, per the Carroll Food Intolerance Evaluation method. Not so with  !
There is at least one of the many soaps most everyone can safely use, no matter what your food intolerances are! Cactus is present (except for the Cactus Free Unscented); the soaps with
essential oils are positive for Grain; this should not pose a
problem, as no other food intolerance categories are present to create a combination, and the grain carriers are gluten-free. Ingredients are listed so you can easily identify a
specific soap that is personally safe for you.
Unlike many of the commercial bars available, the natural moisturizing glycerin created when soap is made remains in  soap. It is not extracted from the soap and then sold as a separate product. What you receive is the exceptionally rich and healthful feel of each and every natural ingredient.
Extensive research and testing have gone into creating a special and unique formula to bring you a safe and luxurious soap for all types of skin – normal, dry, oily. All the ingredients are naturally derived and contain no chemicals or unnatural additives.

of preparations to ensure the soaps are clean from any unwanted elements

Pure Primed Pressed Natural Cocoa Butter (Kosher) ~

Our main ingredient in all the  soaps, Pure Primed Pressed Natural Cocoa Butter is extracted from the cocoa bean, refined for purity and left un-deodorized. Our unscented bars retain the wonderful faint aroma of cocoa, yet leave no lingering scent on your skin. Especially formulated for those folks who are highly sensitive to odors, even the natural ones; these soaps are easy on your senses – as well as your skin.
Cocoa butter is known for its amazing moisturizing properties. As it penetrates through the top layer of the skin, it helps to hydrate and make the skin feel softer and more supple. It is well known for its antioxidant elements, and also contains Vitamins A, E, and C – all beneficial in helping rejuvenate the skin cells. Experience the luxury of the rich emollients in cocoa butter.

 Organic Virgin Unrefined African Shea Butter ~
|
Our Organic Virgin Unrefined African Shea Butter is
extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree (Vitellaria Paradoxa) and left completely unrefined.
This shea butter comes from Burkina Faso, Africa and is fair trade
certified along with certified organic.
Its healthful qualities are best protected in its unrefined form. Shea butter contains many essential fatty acids and plant sterols which contribute to its significant healing properties, including anti-inflammatory benefits. It contains Vitamins A and E, as well as plant antioxidants. Because much of the oil in Shea butter does not saponify (turn to soap when mixed with an alkali such as natural lye), it offers the skin exceptional moisturizing and healing potential.

Cold-Pressed Natural Sweet Almond Oil ~ |
Renowned for its skin care benefits, Sweet Almond Oil acts as a moisturizer and softener, and can help to relieve irritation caused by dryness. The sweet almond contains essential fatty acids, as well as Vitamin E, all known to be healthful to the skin. The cold-pressed process preserves all of the almond’s nutrients.

Cold-Pressed Natural Castor Oil ~ |
This rich oil is added to create a very creamy stable lather. In addition, it adds the extra benefit of moisturizing, as castor oil is able to penetrate deeply into the skin. It is touted to relieve skin pain and reduce inflammation; it is also believed to aid such skin conditions as acne and fungal conditions due to the Ricinoleic fatty acid content, which helps to inhibit the growth of bacteria, viruses, molds, and yeasts. The cold-pressed process preserves the nutrients.

Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax ester derived from the Jojoba seed. A great moisturizer, it contains antioxidants and provides a protective coating on the skin, which acts as an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. Of all the compounds in nature, this wax ester is believed to be the most similar to human skin oil (sebum). As with all our butters and oils, the Jojoba oil will not cause reactions on the skin, nor clog pores.

Natural Oleic Safflower Oil ~ |
Oleic Safflower Oil is used in our CACTUS FREE soaps in place of jojoba oil. It is a wonderfully moisurizing emollient that absorbs quickly into the skin. In ancient Egypt it was used to help heal old wounds; it is known to soothe bruises and irritations.

Andean Q Ultra Quillaja (Soap Bark) Extract ~
|
Considered “Nature’s Perfect Surfactant,” the purified natural extract of the Chilean Soap Bark Tree (Quillaja Saponaria Molina) is added as a superior cleansing and foaming agent. Quillaja also serves the skin by indirectly lowering skin pH, thus encouraging healthy bacteria while suppressing those which clog pores and cause such skin problems as acne. Quillaja may be used to control bacteria which cause inflammation.

Baja Yucca
(Yucca Schidegera Extract) ~ |
This is the concentrated natural extract of the Mohave Yucca Plant (Yucca Schidigera). We include yucca extract in conjunction with the Quillaja extract to enrich the saponin content of our soaps, adding to the cleansing and lathering properties.
Saponins possess antifungal, antibacterial, and emollient properties, which contribute to the wonderful feeling and potential healing superiority of  soaps.
Per the Carroll Food Intolerance Method, this product has been evaluated to contain the food intolerance category CACTUS.

Eco-Friendly Amazonian White and Color Clays ~ |
A natural clay found in the Brazilian Amazon Biome, white clay is rich in minerals and forest nutrients that help eliminate toxins from skin and hair, create deep cleansing, and is a pore minimizing agent. It is also added to some of our soaps for stabilizing the scents of the natural essential oils.
Green clay gives a fine "slip" to soap, making it an ideal ingredient in our GMB shaving bars.
The colored clays are beneficial much the same as the white clay is, lending beautiful color tones while safe for everyone.
Beraca Ingredients produces our eco-friendly Amazonian Clays. Beraca is the only Brazilian producer of raw material with its focus on products to the cosmetic industry that owns a factory in the region. They are dedicated to ensuring that the traditional knowledge of the Amazon people is taken into consideration in the solutions, respecting the local and federal laws on access to the biodiversity and the distribution of benefits.

Organic Carrot Juice, homemade~ |
Homemade by Sandra from whole organic carrots, the fresh extracted juice is used in some of our soaps to boost healthfulness, especially in aiding aged or exposed skin. Rich in beta carotene and phenolic compounds in its skin, the carrot is high in antioxidants, as well as Vitamins A, B, C, D, and E, minerals, essential oils, and more. Carrot root oil is a natural preservative, extending the life of the soap ~ the natural way.

Only all natural, steam-distilled essential oils are used to mildly scent some of our soaps. The result is a pleasing, inviting, soft fragrance while using, yet barely lingers on the skin.

Many of the colorants you see in are naturally derived from plants. There is absolutely no artificial ingredient in our soap; all of these natural additives have wonderful benefits for your skin. Some are purchased from reputable companies; others are either ecologically harvested wild-grown plants or organically grown, and then dried by Sandra. Powders and finely chopped leaves and flowers are then added to some of the soaps. Although most of the natural scent dissipates as it cures, the believed medicinal qualities for your skin will last as long as the soap does!

It is made from certified environmentally responsible resources, made from unbleached, chlorine free paper. It is coated with Silicone – from the natural element Silicon, and is the most environmentally friendly non-toxic, non-stick surface available.
Per the Carroll Food Intolerance Method, this product has been evaluated to contain NO food intolerance categories.
